1:35am, 28th November 2019, St Anthony’s Hospital, Surrey, England

I spent three hours in theatre, all the nasty stuff is out and I’m on the road to recovery!

I’m going to be sore in the morning, but right now I feel like a new man… I’m not quite as perky as I was earlier, it’s probably the morphine.

I was sick a couple of times when I woke up. I really didn’t like the initial painkillers much, and anaesthetics clearly don’t agree with me. I’m a bit drained, but it’s nothing that a decent sleep won’t fix.

Next up, they need to do a bit of analysis on the tumours they removed.

After Christmas, I’ll be popping over to St George’s for something called nuclear medicine. I have no idea what that is, apart from special scans on a cellular level.

Finally, we’ll get the radiotherapy sorted once all the staging is complete.

*here’s a really niche tinder profile pic if you want to catfish anyone
